This gose is inspired by a recent trip to Japan where we also caught up with Reece from Donzoko. Salty lychee is a favourite drink for the Japanese and we couldn’t wait to get this into beer form. A malt base of extra pale and wheat malt has made a soft bready gose base for the addition of Okinawan sea salt, lychee and a touch of hibiscus. The final beer has a balanced acidity and saltiness underlying the delicious and refreshing lychee.
